Noted Bengali actress-director Aparna Sen has been hospitalised with dengue fever in Kolkata.

Actress-director Aparna Sen hospitalised with dengue

Kolkata, Sep 9: Noted Bengali actress-director Aparna Sen has been hospitalised with dengue fever, which was confirmed by the doctors today. Dr Rajeev Seal, who is looking after her at Fortis Hospital, where she was admitted last week, said that her medical reports had confirmed Dengue.

“She is weak but recovering well,” he said. Best known for making films like 36 Chowringhee LaneMr and Mrs Iyer and 15 Park Avenue, the 68-year-old had won the National Film Award for Best Direction twice.

Aparna Sen is the mother of actress Konkona Sen Sharma.
