Upset over the media hype over his son Junaid's engagement with Dawood's daughter Hooria, Miandad said, “Much rubbish is being said about the engagement. I want to make it clear that nothing secret has been done.” Apparently, Miandad's wife Tahira Sehgal is a close friend of Dawood's wife. Junaid and Hoor are said to have met at Oxford , where both of them are studying. Junaid, 22 has been in London since 2000 while Hooria went there two years ago.

Warsi began with making samosas and carting them to her local takeaway—Andy's Fish Bar in Derby in 1986. Her success at Andy's prompted Warsi to hire local Indian women—housewives who could do with some extra cash—to scale up her kitchen. Soon, she had to expand her kitchen and by the mid-1990s, her state-of-the-art manufacturing plant was opened by Cabinet minister Margaret Beckett. Warsi moved on to supplying Britain 's largest supermarket chain Asda's.

Warsi's company now has an annual turnover of over £70 million. Britain 's wealthiest Asian woman runs her multi-million pound ethnic business that she started part-time while was tending to her two sons.
