JBM Auto bagged the order for 700 BS6 compliant AC low-floor CNG buses for New Delhi from the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). JBM will be supplying 700 CityLife BS6 buses in the coming financial year. JBM CityLife buses are already running on Delhi roads being operated by DIMTS. With the addition of 700 buses by DTC, these buses are expected to cater to 50 million passengers per annum, covering around 20 routes across Delhi.
These buses manufactured by JBM are equipped with all modern features like 4G chip, smart card ticketing system, Real-Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), Automatic Bus Vehicle Location System, CCTV cameras, public address system, and stop request buttons, wheelchair ramp to name a few.
The buses also have features like an electronic braking system, and a kneeling mechanism, wherein the bus kneels 60mm towards the passengers’ door side to facilitate boarding and alighting of senior citizens, children, and the specially-abled. For drivers, the dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system.
