Some Mumbaikars were in for a surprise yesterday. The city's dabbawalas, famed for their efficient delivery of office lunches, took on the role of KFC delivery men as part of an innovative marketing campaign. They supplied specially created 5-in-1 meal boxes to some office-goers instead of their regular dabbas.

According to a report in www.mashable.com, a number of people who didn't get the KFC box wished that their regular dabbawala too would join the campaign and get them this new KFC meal that comprised a chicken burger, rice and gravy, hash brown, hot and crispy chicken and hot wings!

This campaign has clearly tickled the imagination of office-goers in Mumbai and all over the country, not just because of its exciting and fresh concept, but also for the merger between the dabbawalas and KFC. Who knows, McDonald's, Subway and others could follow suit.

After all, wouldn't it be exciting to sign up in advance and get a treat meal delivered maybe once a week, without having to bother about placing an order?
