Shakeela first-look poster out: Richa Chadha is miles away from South star

Among a lot of biopics that are in the making in South India, the film on the life story of softcore porn actress Shakeela has grabbed many eyes.

Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, brother of murdered journalist Gauri Lankesh, the film has Richa Chadha playing the role of Shakeela in the film.

The makers have now released the first look poster of the film, which features Richa Chadha as Shakeela. The Gangs Of Wasseypur actress looks stunning and is seen wearing a lot of gold jewelry in the poster. However, the actress doesn't look anything like the South Indian star.

Intriguingly, the tagline of the film reads, 'Not A Porn Star', and Richa is seen standing amidst the insults scribbled on the wall behind her.

Looks like Shakeela, like Dirty Picture (based on the life of Silk Smitha), will explore the personal struggle of a controversial figure.

Richa Chadha earlier met actress Shakeela in person before the film went on floors. It is said that Shakeela herself might play a cameo in the upcoming biopic.

The film is produced by Magic Cinemas and Yoddhas Entertainment and is now all set to release in summer 2019.
