Bhagwan Parshuram

Lord Parashuramji is the sixth Chiranjeevi incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Lord Parashuramji took birth in Tretayuga in the family of Brahmashrestha Maharishi Jamadagni and Matashree Renuka on Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya (Akshaya Tritiya) in Pradosh period.

According to the mythological story, Lord Parashuramji descended as a boon of Devraj Indra, pleased with the Putreshti Yagya performed by Maharishi Jamadagni.

In childhood, Lord Parashuram took the initial education of the scriptures from his grandfather Richik and father Jamadagni and received training in weapon handling from Rajarshi Vishwamitra.

Seeing Lord Parashuram’s special interest in fighting skills during his childhood, his ancestors ordered him to worship Mahadev Shiva.

On the orders of his ancestors, the child Lord Parshuram did penance to Lord Shiva and pleased him. Thereafter, Mahadev Shiva became their Guruvar and Aaradhya.

Mahadev Shiva gave power to Lord Parashuram by providing Parashu.

His grandfather had named him Rama, but being the son of Jamadagni, he was called Jamadagnya and became famous in the name of Lord Parashuram for wearing the Parashu given by Lord Shiva.

Lord Parashuramji was well versed in yoga, Vedas, ethics and fighting skills.

Lord Parashuramji fought for the upliftment and upgradation of Sanatan traditions throughout India and for change in corrupt and autocratic regimes.
