This amazing female Asian Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) was by far the best sighting I had in the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. As soon as my wife spotted it, we did not approach more and tried to move slowly so the bird could feel more and more comfortable with us. It moved from branch to branch, allowing us to admire its beauty both perched and in flight. In this thick vegetation with an active subject it is always hard to take good pictures but that time it was not the most important. I was very pleased to see an Asian Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) for the first time.
