Just received my Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (#JLPT) N2 certificate, I took this exam last December, it's truly a landmark for me to reach near business-level proficiency after learning Japanese since college. The last time I took the N2 exam was in 2015, nearly 7 years ago, I did not pass, but after keeping learning and immersing myself in Japanese culture (thanks to dorama, J-POP, and animation, please watch Attack on Titan!), this time I progress over 40 points to pass the test. For me, the most important tactic to improve proficiency is to watch videos without translation, only the original (Japanese) substitutes. By Learning language and loving it, I try to become a multilingual person (Mandarin, English, Japanese, and basic Thai and French, now the next one might be Korean, proud to be BTS Army) I believe that language is the key to a culture and the way to build deeper relationships, and there are still more to go to communicate well. I always enjoy learning new things.
