Alhamdulillah.I am delighted yet humble to share that, I have achieved a new certification on “Concrete Structures: Corrosion of Embedded Metal and Reinforcement” offered by Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Madras,Chennai, India through the e-learning platform Alison. The course was instructed by Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna G. Pillai from the Department of Civil Engineering. The course module covered the following tropics : 1) Definition, significance and fundamentals of corrosion. 2) Carbonation and chloride induced corrosion. 3) Different types of steel reinforcement and precautions to be taken. 4) Corrosion in prestressed concrete. 5) Effects of corrosion on the durability of concrete structures. 6) Methods of maintenance and repair of concrete structures etc. #Concrete_Structures #Corrosion_of_Rebar #Concrete_Repairs #IIT_Madras #Alison #CPD #Achievement #Self_Development

I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: 8 week course on Earth Science for Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur through NPTEL. This course was based on Introduction to Geosciences in Civil Engineering, Plate Tectonics and Continental Drift, Rock-forming Minerals and their properties, Rock types and their properties, Seismology and the internal Structure of the Earth, Geological Structures, Introduction to Geological Hazards, Environmental impacts of Geological hazards, Active faults and its related hazard in India, Active faults Mapping and Applications, Tsunami and related hazard, Landslide and Subsidence, Flood and related hazard, Groundwater, Applications of Earth Sciences in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering applications – geological considerations in Rivers, Civil Engineering applications – geological considerations in Dams, Civil Engineering applications – geological considerations in Tunnels. hello everyone we have recently visited iit kanpur india for an educational tour from midwest university from the Structural engineering department .It sounds like we had an interesting educational tour at IIT Kanpur!
