How does Failure lead to Success with Two Examples
What is success made of? It is made of so many unseen things.
How is part of your success hidden?
One way for me is that failure is a very real part of the learning process. Imagine working on a project, spending hours on it, and running into fail after fail. Well, this is part of the process of learning when you code. I get errors in my code, I debug them, I find other errors and work on those. As I do I am learning to be a better programmer and have a successful end product. I am iterating my code, it is evolving and changing, and hopefully, by the end, it is a better/working developed product.
Failure can happen in many ways and so can growth. When I was in college at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign I was taking a 400 level genetics class as a Freshman! I was not academically prepared for this, but it was one of the only available classes for my major, Animal Sciences - Pre-Veterinarian Medicine. While I didn't fail this class in the sense of getting a F, I did fail at comprehending much of the class. As I was taking this strenuous course, I more closely analyzed why I was going into pre-vet med - yes I was interested in STEM, yes I was a curious life-long learner, and yes I enjoyed giving back/helping.
However, I was not finding this path fulfilling...I wanted to search for something that would harness my skills regarding working with others and my passion for both STEM, research, and writing. This struggle led me to shift my energy and change my major and this changed my trajectory. Failures can lead to choices and a bifurcation of a path - that is what happened to me.

3ySpeak your truth Meghan Jacquot! I've learned much by my failures with code. It has opened my mind to thinking differently which in turn has made me more rounded.
