Robot helps managers to fix the "Angry Wife Problem"

Studies show that many middle aged, male, managers end up having a midlife crisis because of the "Angry Wife Problem" (AWP).

Symptoms of AWP:

  • When he comes home late from work - Wife gets so ANGRY
  • When he forgets flowers and chocolate on Valentines Day - Wife gets so ANGRY
  • If he, by accident, looks at the backside of a woman walking by - Wife gets so ANGRY
  • Wife doesn´t like his jokes anymore (if she ever did) and the children don´t care either
  • Wife always has a headache on Wednesdays
  • Wife doesn´t want to make his favorite meal anymore
  • ... and the list goes on and on

Managers: Don’t despair; help is near

Maybe you think that it is time to shift "the old model", but you don´t have the courage and energy to leave your secure base and score a "younger one".

Maybe this kind of thinking holds you back?:

"Ok, I know what I have, but don´t know what I get. And if I want a younger model, I have to go to a disco, be open, clever and flirty. It is so risky! What if I make a total fool out of my self? What if they don´t like me?"

You don´t have to worry anymore, because some very clever techies have invented a fancy ROBOT WIFE that will make your life much easier.

Meet Simone, your new robot-wife:

  • She is not irrational
  • She is beautiful, no matter what time it is, and, she never gets older
  • She is always in a good mood and she will laugh and smile if that´s what you want her to do

Just watch this guy checking her sensors. It is perfect:

Simone is not just a robot. They have also improved her, so that, you can communicate with her on a digital platform:

  • When you are late, you just open the "Simone App" on your smartphone, and choose, what you want for dinner, and it is ready, when you get home
  • When you open the door, Simone´s advanced facial scanner will register your mood. If you are sad, she will try to encourage you. If you are happy, she will make you talk a lot about your day, without interfering. If you are proud she will kindly ask how your day was, and she will admire you for everything you do at work.

The only problem is that all the other guys on your street and your colleagues also will get a "Simone". But the techies will fix it, so that you can customize your robot-wife to your specific taste and needs.

This is so absurd!

Everybody can see how absurd my story is (I hope so). I love my wife, also when she is angry, annoying, tired, ugly or sad. These emotions are part of life and without them it doesn´t make sense to talk about happiness, beauty, inspiration or curiosity.

No robot or digital platform can replace your wife, your childen, your customers or your employees

But this fascination of Artificial Intelligens (AI) and way of thinking - is dominating the way we build society and business today.

According to AI INDEX, Nov 2017, the number of AI papers produced each year has increased by more than 9 times, since 1996.

And, investment, into US startups developing AI, has increased 6 times since 2000:

Managers and techies seem to be doped by the idea of robots replacing human interaction and decision making. Because, as they say, robots are rational and don´t make the same mistakes that humans do.

In reality, the only thing that robots are good at is optimizing and streamlining well defined processes.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak says:

You would have to change every bit of infrastructure [to enable] machines sending orders to other machines ... everything in life, there is just way too much to convert. It would take hundreds of years to convert

I think that there is another problem as well

With this Robot- machine thinking we get conform, rigid, sick organizations that all look the same. We get companies without nerve and soul. And people (customers and employees) don´t connect with robots and they certainly don´t want to be a digit in a system.

Humans are humans:

They don´t want to be fed with mass communication. They want to explore, hunt, relate and love. They want to feel something and be with people they trust and share stories with

And when it comes to the digital trend. Everybody is talking about SEO and SoMe these days.

  • SEO: How can we be number 1 in search engines?
  • SoMe: How can we be number 1 on social platformes?

But, at the same time managers and marketeers talk a lot about how important it is to be creative, innovative and differentiate brands on a demanding market.

This is a contradiction in terms:

How can you be innovative, if the only thing you think of is to be number one in a search engine, and you see the world through a square piece of glass?

If you want to be innovative, you have to build a creative culture where people trust and like each other, for better and for worse. Creativity is not restricted to a certain time and space. New ideas often come, when you didn´t plan it. Example: When you shower, when you take the bus, are at a party, etc.

This is why people outperform robots and digital machines. We have complex emotions and individual quirks that may be annoying sometimes, but nonetheless are incremental if we want to build gamechanging strategies, models and products.

So what are you going to do about it? Do you dare to be different, instead of just jumping on the digital train, because everybody else does it, without knowing where the train terminates?
