Ravichandran took part in the Qatar Kannada Samman-2023 recently, where he talked about the sequel to the superhit Premaloka.

V Ravichandran-starrer Kannada film Premaloka captured the hearts of fans when it was released 36 years ago. According to reports, a sequel to the film titled Premaloka 2 is in the works. The Crazy Star himself shared this update. Ravichandran took part in the Qatar Kannada Samman-2023 recently, where he talked about the sequel to the superhit Premaloka. According to reports, Vikram and Manoranjan will also be a part of the film. Ravichandran revealed, “The script work of Premaloka 2 has been going on for over a year now. I sat alone and wrote the story.”

Premaloka was the directorial debut of V Ravichandran. It was produced by N Veeraswamy and co-produced by V Ravichandran, under the banner of Sri Eswari Productions. The cast of the film includes V Ravichandran and Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. It was released in two languages, Kannada and Tamil. The songs for Premaloka were composed by musician Hamsalekha, who gave the audience evergreen songs, which are still fresh in their minds.

The film is a remake of the Hollywood film Grease 2, which was released in 1982. It starred Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead roles, and it was directed by Patricia Birch.

Because of the film Premaloka, V Ravichandran earned the nickname Crazy Star. He made his debut in films as a child artist, with the movie Dhoomakethu. As an adult, his first film was Khadeema Kallaru, which came out in 1982. He played the role of an antagonist in the film. Then he was seen in the 1983-film, Chakravyuha. He was also the co-producer of the film. He has worked with notable directors of the Kannada film industry like Rajendra Singh Babu and D Rajendra Babu. For his work, he is also known as ‘The Show Man of the Kannada industry’. He has starred in superhits like Naanu Nanna Hendthi, Ramachaari, Sriramachandra, and Annayya.
