Fuschia M. Sirois, Ph.D., is a Professor of Social and Health Psychology at Durham University, UK, and a former Canada Research Chair in Health and Well-being. Her research focuses on understanding how self-regulation (how we manage and direct our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to reach our goals) can impact health and well-being and the psychological factors and qualities that contour people’s capacities to self-regulate. She writes and presents talks for academic audiences and the general public on topics including gratitude, self-compassion, loneliness, perfectionism, time perspective, and how procrastination is linked to mood.

Sirois has authored over a 120 peer-reviewed journal papers, over 200 conference papers, and authored/edited five books, including an audiobook on procrastination for Audible, Do it Now, and a self-help book on procrastination published by APA, Procrastination: What It Is, Why It’s a Problem, and What You Can Do About It.
