Kabir Suman hospitalised

Veteran singer and composer Kabir Suman has been admitted to a hospital, following complaints of breathing, sore throat and high fever.

Suman, aged 72, is now on oxygen support.

He attended to the cabin number 103 at the Woodburn ward of West Bengal government’s Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital, formerly known as PG Hospital.

He was admitted late last night with fever and shortness of breath. 

At the time of admission, his oxygen level was 90. So, he has been put on oxygen support and given other medicines at the moment, doctor said.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited Kabir Suman in the hospital and conveyed her best wishes for his quick recovery.
