About 30km north of Dwarka is a ferry service crossing the 3km from Okha to the island of Bet, also known as Shankhodhar Island, where Vishnu is said to have slain a demon. There are modern Krishna temples on the island and a deserted beach on the northern coast.

Sharda Peeth Math Museum was established by Adi Shankaracharya who also founded three other sacred maths in four directions of the country. From here you can view a panoramic view of Dwarka but strangely photography is not allowed.

Climatic Condition

  • Very nice article pertaining to Dwarka tourism. But the best alluring photographs are of Rukmini Devi Temple and Gomati Ghat. These two photographs compel a traveler to visit these two places.
