Katrina Kaif ‘Feels Bored of Repeating Herself In Films’: Am I Feeling Alive Here?

Katrina Kaif is currently on top of the world due to the success and praise she garnered with her latest films Merry Christmas and Tiger 3. The actress is currently one of the most loved female stars of Bollywood, often making headlines for her diverse roles over the years. In a recent interview, Katrina noted that she intends to not repeat herself in her movies as it will be too repetitive not only for herself but also for the audience.

During her interview with Mid-Day, Katrina said, “I want to portray myself in a new way. The reason behind that is that I don’t want to repeat myself too much anymore because, in certain scenarios, I am feeling bored of myself. If I am feeling bored of myself, I’m pretty sure the audience is going to be feeling bored. If I’m feeling repetitive, they’re going to feel it repetitive.”

She continued, “That’s the instinct that I try to go by. It’s not out of trying to predict the future, its out of being genuine and honest to myself. In certain spaces, I’m questioning myself, ‘Am I feeling joy in this moment? Am I feeling alive here? Do I have something to give here?’ Something new to give to myself as an experience and something new to give to the film in that space.”

“This is a kind of period of a certain transition in a way. As in, we all need to evolve and change over the years. I’m not the same 19-year-old who came into the film industry,” she added.

Going on with her discussion, Katrina also revealed that working on the Tiger franchise with Salman Khan brings her joy. She noted that she loves the action genre, especially women-centric action films. In regard to her character in Tiger, Katrina added that Zoya’s backstory added an interesting touch for her.

Upon release, Tiger 3 starring Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan garnered immense success, marking their third collaboration as Zoya and Tiger. Additionally, Katrina impressed audiences in Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi, set for release on Netflix this month.
