Dismissing rumours that someone pushed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from behind, Trinamool Congress on Friday asserted that "she had collapsed after feeling dizzy."
Trinamool's Shashi Panja said, "...She (Mamata Banerjee) felt a bit dizzy and then collapsed, nobody pushed her from behind... After falling, she got injured; the doctor is looking into everything."

Panja further briefed on the health condition of Mamata Banerjee saying that doctors were conducting checkups. "Details will come out soon; checkups are going on...Everybody wants the well-being of Mamata Banerjee, however, taking the wrong meaning of this is injustice," she added.
She said that the reason for the collapse could be high blood pressure or sugar. The TMC leader asked the masses to refrain from making predictions for the cause of the incident.
"Didi is also a human being and she has a very hectic schedule. Everyone wants her to stay healthy. But no want should mock on the incident or make a wrong prediction for the cause of the incident," she added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained injuries on her forehead on Thursday. The All India Trinamool Congress shared photos of Banerjee on a hospital bed with a deep cut in the middle of her forehead and blood on her face.
The accident took place at her home and TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee took her to the SSKM hospital. She was later taken for MRI and CT scans. After receiving stitches - one on nose and two on her forehead - and getting necessary tests done, Mamata was taken to her residence. She was accompanied by Abhishek Banerjee along with other family members.
The medical bulletin issued by the hospital said, "With a history of fall due to some push from behind, had a cerebral concussion. She was treated by neurologist and cardiologist as well. Three stitches - one on nose and two on forehead. She was requested to stay here but went home, she will be in close monitor."
