Get the look: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s kohl-ed eyes

Tira’s launch campaign 'For Every You' serves as a tribute to the many roles, emotions and moods that individuals experience. It aims to celebrate the role of beauty and how different people use it to express themselves. Through three films featuring Suhana Khan, Kiara Advani and Kareena Kapoor Khan—who each represent varied versions of beauty—it endeavours to accentuate how different mindsets, daily rituals and quirks make up a person and define their own version of beauty.

With Bebo in the picture, there had to be a look with her signature, OTT kohl eyes. The statement-making look reaches viral status every time she hits the big screen with a new role and maxxed out, kohl rimmed eyes. For the campaign, this was balanced by a soft, blushed complexion that relies on excellent prep to get that healthy, just-out-of-the-sun glow. Perfect for a boozy brunch, a long workday or even a Sunday afternoon soiree, here’s how to get Kareena’s fresh makeup look in a jiffy.

The prep

Kareena’s skin prep for the look is perfectly balanced with a matte finish and a hint of dewiness. Keeping it mainly matte will ensure long-lasting wear and the light dew will peek through sheer layers of makeup to keep the look feeling fresh. Start with a gel-based cleanser followed up with a hydrating toner to gently cleanser and tone the skin without over-stripping it. Layer hyaluronic acid and a face lotion for maximum nourishment and minimum build-up. Finish with a glow-boosting SPF, preferably with chemical filters to avoid the too-matte finish of physical sunscreens.

Tira recommends:

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Laneige Cream Skin Refiner

L'Oréal Paris Revitalift 1.5 % Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum

The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur Clean Face Mild Lotion

Dr. Sheth's Ceramide & Vitamin C Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++

The look

Allow your prep products to settle in. Once done, start with a cream primer with pore-filling particles to create a smooth canvas. Next, lightly layer a CC/BB cream with sheer to medium coverage with a damp sponge; build it up in areas where you need some extra coverage. You can even go in with an illuminating concealer to brighten up the undereye area and smoothen out laugh lines. Set the base with a light dusting of powder; make sure to get the lids too.

Start with a kohl first – use a sketch liner to get intense colour payoff and precision. With a pencil liner, fill in the lower waterline and lightly define with mascara. Fill in the brows with a brown pencil and brush out with a spoolie to keep it soft. Bring colour to your cheeks with a soft pink, pastel blush applied across the centre of your face for a sun-kissed finish. Go over the blush placement with silver highlighter placed on the colour and the high points of the face. For the lips, line with a dark pink pencil and fill a satin, almost creamy colour in the centre to complete the look.
