This activity is a great way to introduce origami to children. Only a few simple folds are needed. Also, each origami whale only requires one square of thin paper and some art cupboard staples. You’ll need scissors to create a small snip at the whale's tail and some felt tip pens to add a grin to your whale's face.

Do you want to create origami whales of different sizes? Then simply choose different sizes of paper, the larger the paper square, the larger your whale will be.

Twinkl Tip: This would be a great boredom buster for any school holidays. Crafting together can be a lovely opportunity to spend quality time together as a family.
