How can I use this Ancient Civilisation Timeline resource?

These sorting cards are a wonderful way of helping children develop understand the time periods that these ancient civilisations took place.

This is a fantastic activity that promotes discussion about different periods in history and allows children to understand how long some civilisations were around for and which existed at the same time. 

This activity could be carried out in pairs or as a group during the beginning of a new history unit to promote understanding of chronological events. 

This activity also works well alongside out KS2 Ancient Civilisations Timeline.
