Peaches Geldof, a TV presenter, writer, and model, has died at the age of 25, according to BBC.com. According to BBC editor Rachel Kennedy, the death is being treated as “unexplained and sudden.” The daughter of musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, she is survived by her husband, musician Thomas Cohen, and two children. Bob Geldof has confirmed his daughter’s death, according to Sky News, saying “We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child... How is this possible that we will not see her again.”

Speaking to Elle Magazine in 2012, Geldof described how the birth of her children helped her move on from the death of her mother, Yates, who died of a drug overdose in 2000. “His [son Astala’s] birth was like a rebirth for me, and I honestly never thought anything in my life would ever be good.” Her last post on Instagram, on Sunday, April 6, was captioned “me and my mum.”
