As all eyes turn to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and the grand wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas this weekend,“Nickyanka” fans may feel as though they already know everything there is to know about the actress. But dig a little deeper and one will find more than a few enlightening facts about this week’s most-watched bride. From how she and her soon-to-be husband first met—hint: it involves textual chemistry—to how she made TV history, here are five facts you didn’t know about Chopra.

1. She Had a Nomadic Upbringing
Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, India. Both of her parents were physicians in the Indian Army, and Chopra and her brother, Siddharth, traveled the globe during their childhood years. Some of the places they ended up: Delhi, Chandigarh, Ambala, Bareilly, Ladakh, and the U.S. At one point, she even followed in her parents’ footsteps by completing a portion of her high school education at the Army Public School in Bareilly.

2. Her Role on Quantico Made TV History
Though she was famous well before her foray into Hollywood—she was one of India’s biggest movie stars and a former Miss World—Chopra’s starring role on Quantico made her the first Indian-born actress to lead an American prime-time network show in television history.

3. She’s a Tech Investor
This year, Chopra added tech investor to her résumé when she helped fund and launch a coding education company called Holberton School. The school teaches software development through group learning, rather than traditional courses. “Geeks are taking over the world,” Chopra told The New York Times. “If they haven’t already.” She also is an investor in the dating app Bumble and plans to play a part in its launch in India.

4. Her Relationship With Nick Jonas Began via Text
In her Vogue cover story, Chopra revealed how her relationship with Nick Jonas began—via text. “It was Nick who sent the first message,” Chopra said. (For the record, Jonas first sent a text to Chopra’s Quantico costar Graham Rogers: “Priyanka. Is. Wow.”) After that, the two moved the conversation into Twitter direct messages. “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,” Jonas messaged to her. Chopra gave him her digits, and the rest is history.

5. She Always Carries Hot Sauce in her Purse
During her 73 Questions with Vogue, Chopra dished on the things she always carries in her purse. It included the usual suspects (hand cream, sunglasses, gum, perfume, a wallet). But the most random item? “Definitely hot sauce,” she said. “You always need hot sauce.”
