We are deeply saddened by the loss of Peaches Geldof, who passed away earlier today at the age of 25 at her home in Kent, England. A journalist, TV presenter, and devoted mother, she leaves behind a husband, musician Thomas Cohen, and two young sons, eleven-month-old Phaedra and Astala, who turns two this month. Geldof started her writing career at the age of fifteen and regularly contributed to several British newspapers such as the Telegraph and the Guardian as well as presenting her own show. She was known for her love of fashion and evolved the playful stylings of her teenage years with a free-spirited sense of sophistication that was all her own. She was diligent in her support for London’s brightest young designers, and was a front-row fixture during Fashion Week. In a statement he wrote on behalf of the family, her father, Sir Bob Geldof, remembers her as “the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?”
