Sachin Tendulkar, who is also known as India's ‘god of cricket’, is among the world's best batsmen, and holds just about every batting record in the field of cricket. In 2000, he became the first batsman to have scored 50 international hundreds, in 2008 he became the leading Test run-scorer, and in the years after, he went past 13,000 Test runs, 30,000 international runs, and 50 Test hundreds. He also currently holds the record for most hundreds in both Tests and ODIs—making him a household name across the globe.

After retiring from international cricket, Tendulkar has been spending quality time at home with his family in Bandra, a suburban neighbourhood in Mumbai, and his Instagram updates (especially during the lockdown) often give his 26.8 million fans a peek into his sprawling mansion, where he resides with wife Anjali Tendulkar, daughter Sara Tendulkar, and son Arjun Tendulkar.

A beautiful property with a great history, the house was bought by the cricketer back in 2007. The bungalow was originally known as ‘Dorab Villa’ and was built in 1926, and housed a Parsi family—the Wardens. The spacious villa, which is spread over 6,000sqft, took four years to be completely renovated, and the Tendulkar family officially moved in in 2011. A warm and inviting space, Sachin Tendulkar's expansive living room brings together shades of white and brown. Earthy plush couches bring a rustic touch to the space, while colourful cushions brighten up the area. You’ll also spot glossy cream coloured marble flooring, a large leather armchair, multiple ivory lamps, and all the awards won by the sports pro neatly framed and spread across the room. This family room extends to include a dining area with mahogany brown leather chairs and a teak wood dining table completing the space.

Who would miss the outdoors if they have a garden like Sachin Tendulkar's? A vast block of green, the cricketer’s backyard features rows of palm trees, leafy shrubs, succulents, tropical plants and a small pond, giving the space a serene vibe.
