After tying the knot in an intimate ceremony, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal hosted a lavish wedding reception in Mumbai on Tuesday night. The star-studded affair witnessed a series of red-carpet looks by an array of celebrities from the industry including Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and the list goes on. While Richa Chadha’s sartorial lineup for the wedding consisted of muted tones with shades of pink, golden and ivory until the big day, she switched things up for their wedding reception. The bride stunned in a multicoloured hand-crafted sari gown by designer Anamika Khanna while Ali Fazal served a look in a tailored piece by Kaushik Velendra.

After wrapping up the wedding formalities in traditional gear, the wedding reception is an ideal event to personalise your garments and make a show-stopping statement. Richa Chadha got the memo and did exactly that, swaying away from the custom ball gowns or Benarasi saris. The Masaan star opted for a unique handcrafted sleeveless sari gown that came with a V-shaped neckline. The garment featured colourful heavy embroidery with intricate sequin, mirror embellishments and patchwork motifs reflective of Anamika Khanna’s distinctive design.
It was accentuated by a scalloped hemline and an embroidered pallu giving it an ethnic edge. She decked up her look with unique pieces of jewellery wearing a stone-studded matha patti, and statement drop earrings. Further, Chadha polished up in coral-tinted eye and lip shade complimenting the sari while keeping her tresses styled in tousled waves. Her quirky aesthetic for the reception is a styling lesson for upcoming brides who like to do things their own way.
