Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s wife and actress Twinkle Khanna, daughter of the legendary Rajesh Khanna finally opened up on a decade-old controversy surrounding her alleged performances at parties hosted by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The ‘Mela’ actress has finally taken a firm stand against the malicious reports which she termed ‘media fabrications’. In her latest column for Times of India, Twinkle humorously joked about her dancing skills and suggested that Dawood would have opted for more skilled performers if the reports were true.

“We have already witnessed a spate of manipulated news stories, from the morphed pictures that showed the Phogats smiling during the wrestler’s protests, to unaccountable stories about the origin of the coronavirus,” Twinkle Khanna wrote.

“I have even seen my name on a mainstream TV channel ticker saying I had performed a medley of songs for Dawood. Considering that even my children think my dancing skills are akin to watching a WWF match between a lone wrestler and gravity, the news channels should have know that Dawood would have chosen more skilled performers. But such is the world of fake news,” she further added.

Earlier, Akshay had also slammed the reports and expressed shock about such fake reports being published.

“I have no idea from where all these stories come from. If these stories were true, my house would have been raided. Not a single constable has come to my house from the day this story was reported. These reports do disturb me. But, I have spent 20 years in the film industry and by now I have got used to it,” the Khiladi Kumar said.
