Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take the crumbled paneer.
  2. Next, add all the spices and salt to the paneer. Adding red chilli powder is completely optional.
  3. Add the grated ginger and finely chopped coriander leaves to the mixture.
  4. Mix everything properly and keep aside.
  5. Now its time to knead the dough. Measure 1 cup of wheat flour in a large bowl.
  6. Add 1 tsp of oil and salt as per taste. Remember the paneer filling also has salt.
  7. If possible, use lukewarm water to knead the dough. This ensures softer dough.
  8. Mix water in batches and knead for about 5 minutes. Ensure that the dough turns out soft and smooth.
  9. Once the dough is done, grease it with 1 tsp of oil to prevent drying. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  10. After 20 minutes, take out medium-sized dough balls out of the dough.
  11. Take a griddle and keep it on the gas stove with medium flame.
  12. Take one of the dough-balls and dust it with flour. Start rolling it into a 4-inch circle.
  13. Fill 2 to 3 tbsp of paneer filling.
  14. Now bring the ends of the paratha together. Dust and start rolling it again very gently. This time the paratha should be around 6 inches in size. The size of the paratha depends on you entirely.
  15. Put the rolled paratha on the griddle.
  16. Let it cook on one side slightly. Now flip the paratha over and apply a little oil on the slightly cooked side. Flip it again and press with a spatula so that it cooks nicely. Now apply oil on the second side as well and flip again.
  17. Cook until the paratha turns brown on both sides.
  18. The paratha is ready to be served with curd.
